The Directors of the Peace On Earth Film Festival, along with the Board of Directors of Transcendence Global Media, NFP, are pleased to announce that the 2011 Peace On Earth Film Festival, will once again be hosted by the Chicago Cultural Center with the support of the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs,  and will take place at the Centers’ Claudia Cassidy Theater, beginning Friday, February 25 through Sunday, February 27, 2011.

2011 Submissions
We will be taking submissions from filmmakers from July 1 to October 31, 2010.

The Directors of the Peace On Earth Film Festival, along with the Review Committee, are pleased to announce the Official Selections. Out of a field of 194 films, we are delighted to have selected 34 for entry into 2010 POEFF. Submissions came from around the world, and 2010 will include films from Israel, Iran, Lebanon, Italy, UK, Germany, Spain, South Korea, USA and Canada.

Powerful, insightful, disturbing and inspiring, the selected films shine a light on our world; and in their own unique way fulfill the mission of POEFF, to raise awareness of peace, nonviolence, social justice and an eco-balanced world.

The Directors of the POEFF and the Review Committee express their deepest gratitude to all of the filmmakers who went through the submission process. Peace on Earth Film Festival (POEFF) has been established to celebrate and encourage the work of independent films from around the world on the themes of peace, nonviolence, social justice and an eco-balanced world. POEFF is a not-for-profit film festival whose primary objective is to raise an awareness of peace, nonviolence, social justice and an eco-balanced world, as possibilities, by bringing attention to independent films from around the world. Through the power of motion pictures, POEFF endeavors to enlighten and empower individuals, families and communities to step out of the ignorance of conflict, violence and divisiveness into the light of communication, compassion and understanding.
