Q: Is Peace On Earth Film Festival a non-profit organization?
A: Yes. POEFF is a project of Transcendence Global Media, NFP - an Illinois non-for-profit and a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. The event is run on donations and volunteer work.

 

Q: May I make a donation to Peace On Earth Film Festival?
A: Yes! Your Donations will also help to fund monetary awards given to filmmakers working to change public discourse on peace, nonviolence, social justice and an eco-balanced world. Donations are tax-deductible. Please visit the Donations page for more information.

Q: I'm broke but I want to submit my film. Do I have to pay the entry fee if you are a not-for-profit?
A: POEFF is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization; yet, we require funds to allow us to make this event possible. Submission fees help defer the cost of venue, programs, advertising and promotion, to name but a few. We recommend that you submit your film along with the fee so that your film can have the same attention and consideration afforded other filmmakers.

 

Q: Will calling or emailing the office a lot increase my chances of getting accepted?
A: No.

 

Q: When do you notify filmmakers of acceptance or rejection of their submissions?
A: All results will be posted on this web-site no later than January 15th, 2010. We will also contact you via email, if your film has been accepted into the 2010 POEFF.

 

Q: What formats do you accept for film submissions?
A: DVD for reviewing process only.

 

Q: Do you accept student films for submission?
A: Yes! Please check out our filmmakers section for more information.

 

Q: Are there awards for films?
A: Yes. Donations from sponsorships will be award to the Best Narratives and Best Documentaries both feature length and short; Best Animation; Best Student Film, Documentary and Narrative.

 

Q: May I sign up to volunteer?
A: Yes, fill out the application on our Volunteer page, and someone will be in touch with you, as soon as possible.

 

Q: I have a great idea to make the Festival even better. What should I do?

Q: When will tickets be available?
A: Films will be announced no later than January 15th, 2010, at which time the website will be updated with schedules and information about ticket sales.

 

Q: Can I get group discounts on ticket prices?
A: We are considering group sale discounts, please check back with us after January 15th, 2010.
