Peace On Earth Film Festival will give awards in the honor of Best Narrative Feature Film, Best Narrative Short Film, Best Feature Length Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Student Narrative and Best Student Documentary Film. There is also a Special award in honor, the Student Choice Award, voted on by Chicago School Students in attendance of the POEFF Student Voices for Peace Showcase.

All accepted POEFF filmmakers are honored at the Awards Ceremony, while winners of the Festival's "Best of" will be granted monetary awards and plaques with special accolades at the ceremony. Winners not in attendance will be mailed their monetary award and certificate.
