Dialogue for Peace Outreach Programming brought into Chicago Public Schools and Parochial Schools throughout Cook County

Dialogue for Peace Outreach Program (DFP), an in-classroom program for students (7th-12th grades), makes use of festival archival films and dialogue to foster a broadening understanding of peace. The program brings to light the harmful effects of intolerance, aggression, discriminatory language, damage to the environment, etc., while incorporating a diverse array of ideas and perspectives as well as models of courage and positive change. Given how earnestly young people desire to be competent within their relationships and find meaningful, effective ways to express their idealism, there is no limit to the ripple effect as they apply DFP lessons throughout their lives beyond the classroom and DFP sessions.

To date, the DFP single day and the DFP-Extended 15 week/13 film programs have served near 7,500 students in 42 different schools within Cook County.

Community Movie Night Programming

An Extension of Dialogue for Peace Outreach Programming

The Peace On Earth Film Festival amplifies the festival’s mission throughout the year by presenting community movie nights, utilizing festival films to engage Chicago residents, students, and visitors, in meaningful dialogue that challenges attitudes and beliefs that perpetuate discord, while planting seeds for creating a socially just, non-violent, and eco-balanced world.

The community movie nights are free of charge and are open to the public. Please join us for exceptional films and vibrant dialogue at our next movie night!
